I don’t know why you are comparing a domestic cat to Finlay, a Scottish wildcat that is the world’s rarest cat breed. I don’t know why the police have taken Finlay but I believe it is illegal to keep them as pets.
I know the organisation was rehabilitating him and intended to release him
A year seems a long time to keep an animal intended to be released back into the wild.
I think they were waiting for warmer weather before releasing him
4 policemen...that's about 4 more policemen than you get attending a reported a burglary.

The wind farm in question is in Aberdeenshire.

Vattenfall is currently planning an offshore windfarm off the coast of Norfolk.
Not sure if enough background information, and all one sided. Had there been previous attempts to remove the animal?
I don't see how this story is comparable to a footballer kicking a cat around the room. Then again when did canary ever make sense?
