Hi there barber,
Well in the UK at least they are classed as annuals or half hardy annuals, so I think this rules-out the option of over-wintering them.
You can however propergste from seed though, sown in feb-march with gentle heat and they should be ready to plant out in late may. Hope this helps Tbird+
Yes...they overwinter well in the same way as geraniums do.

Pot them up and put them into a cool, frost free place such as a greenhouse or conservatory and keep them dry, watering only when needed.

You can also propagate them by dividing the main plant into lots of smaller ones or by taking cuttings around now.

Some gazanias will tolerate being left out all year if in a very sheltered area.
