If you can still buy those blue all in one letter envelopes that has the stamp price included in the price at the post office ? I need to send it to Australia. I thought it might be cheaper to send one rather than the price of normal paper and envelope.
If you wanted to send a letter by air mail you could get little stickers to put on the envelope. Do you still have the choice of sending mail by air or sea?
it's all air mail these days, I believe, Jackdaw. I don't suppose there's much market for a service that will deliver a letter in Woolloomooloo sometime next month. I suspect emails and other electronic servies did for the aerogramme too.
My mother always used to use those air mail letters when she wrote home from Austrailia and got similar back from her family. At least if you write on normal paper and you make a mistake it's just a case of using new bit of paper. On the air mail ones if you made a mistake it was either put lines all through it or buy a new one.
