As far as i know Spice, he had only called off appearing with them on their latest US tour.

He took a break earlier last year as far as I know Spice, and he was off for a while when he battled through throat cancer about 10 years ago

I asked because drumming looks hard work for young people and he was 80. Thought he might have retired years ago.
The guy who has stood in for Charlie on a few occasions, Steve Jordan, is a young 64 :-)

I never saw the Stones, but I have friends who followed them everywhere, even abroad and they are really sad that Charlie has died. Such an iconic band.
Saw them in a Windsor pub, Peascod Street early 60s & later they rented a mansion in Maidenhead near me, when Brian Jones drowned in their swimming pool.
I saw them when they played in Dublin in 2018, amazing show! That portrait is brilliant, Khandro. Any chance you could post the other 3 please?

I saw them in Stafford in 1977, on the basis that I might never have a chance again.

Me too drmorgans, that was the night Keith drove himself home and wrote off his Rolls!

They say Mick always wanted to be Keith, but they both wanted to be Charlie.

It's easy to see why.
