is it better for your credit rating to have loads of cards, none, or just a few as i have heard conflicting views, just would like know.

If you have loads of credit cards that you don't use this could stop lenders giving you further credit, as you have credit limits which you may not use but have access to, which could mean you getting seriously over-committed if you decided to spend on them all.

If you have none then there'll be no credit history for banks to go on, and that could stop them giving you credit.
