5's a decent score, Roopower and Milo2. Well done!
Banksy or not, Roo, I really wouldn't recommend visiting Lowestoft these days. Most town centres have taken a bit of a hit due to Covid but Lowestoft town centre has almost shut up shop altogether. Even Poundstretcher, and nearly all of the charity shops that used to be there, have given up on it. The town centre is a total dump and even the beach is nowhere as nice as it used to be. (They had to replace nearly all of the sand after it was swept away in storms a few years ago. The granite breakwaters they've put in, to stop the sand disappearing again, make the beach look like a building site).
Buenchico, I'm sorry to hear that Lowestoft is in such a state, I haven't been into town or to the south beach for a few years. I walked along the 'prom' from Sparrows Nest to Ness Point a while back and that was quite pleasant, apart from the lazy wind! I have family in Oulton Broad and North Lowestoft so try to visit when I can, been a bit difficult in the last 18 months though.
'Middling' in both quizzes, Margo, which ain't too bad!
Well done with that fine 6, Karamia!
Roopower: There's been a lot of effort put into improving Lowestoft's historic High Street which, as you'll know, isn't the main shopping street but the road that runs north from it. However London Road North (where all of the main shops used to be) is now largely a ghost town.
