the little one for a PCR test. That's something I never want to repeat in my lifetime.

The poor thing was hysterical :-(

That's a shame my nephew 4yrs had to have one. The nurse was super. She did the test on his mother first, explained everything and let him say when he was ready. A few tears but no problem and he had to have a repeat 8 days later

They reckon 24 hours, DT. I hope he's negative because I want him to go to Nursery on Tuesday as normal.

Calmck, it took the two of us to hold him down and he still fought with everything he'd got. He's poorly with a cold too, so he got himself into quite a state.

why the PCR? Is it the nursery that has an issue - or have you or the OH been pinged?

Someone in his bubble at Nursery, DT. Apparently the family of the other boy are in the Oxford Trial. He's got to isolate until Monday in any case but the rules are changing aren't they?

there's a lot of gastric flu ( with a cold) and strep kicking around....my daughter in Leeds (with low-level Lymes) has just got this.....

Yes, Miles and OH were sick the other week. I was very queasy but managed not to be sick.

You never used to see lurgy at this time of the year. I wonder if the lockdowns had something to do with it.

I understand that it can come off the back of covid....perhaps the case with my daughter as her system is so screwed up to begin with her background low-level Lyme's....

there;s been Novovirus kicking around too...a friend of mine, our age, has been very sick with this...they thought it was Covid to begin with.
