Chemical digestion is through the action of enzymes. It therefore takes place in all those parts of the alimentary canal where enzymes are secreted,

Physical digestion is the mechanical break-up of the food into smaller pieces. The teeth are obviously a good place to start and then the churning action of the stomach can assist the break-up.
