Where you can find out which record reached a certain position in any given year in the UK charts?
For instance, which record reached number 1 in 1956 in any given month. TIA

The date I gave is just an example, so not necessary No 1's, but any record in the top twenty. I'm looking for somewhere where I can put in the highest it got in the charts, so it might only have got to No 12 in any given year.
as Chris Buenchico - he seems to know all this stuff
or Andie - a DJ

Yes Peter, perhaps they might see this later.

Thanks barry, that seems to be what I'm looking for.
Do you know what some of the abbreviations mean?
Pos I take it means position, but I haven't worked out what LW and WoC means. Any ideas?
LW = last week (previous week's position in chart)
WoC = I think is number of weeks in the top 20
WoC = weeks on chart

Thanks everyone.
