A Stranger To Me

I am not, and nor have i ever been, what one might call photogenic. I am fully aware i am no oil painting (then again, depends upon the artist) but neither do i look like a bulldog licking stale hiss off a nettle. The sides of my mouth turn slightly downward, giving me a surly fizzog.
However, when needed, i can strike a pose so that my children and grandchildren can include photo's of 'dad/grandad' on their phones without scaring anyone who they show them to. But, i have recently had 'passport style' photos taken in Boots kiosk last week for my bus pass, and looking at said photographs now, i do not recognise the guy looking back at me. He looks like Burnley's Most Wanted, as posted on the Police FB pages:-(

My mouth also turns down at the corners naturally, however happy I am. The photo for my new driving licence is appalling, I just hope I don't have to show it to anyone.

The trick of looking reasonable in a photo is to show your teeth.

Unfortunately for passport photos, that's not allowed any more.
