Cleaning gutters and fell off ladder. Landed on my ribs on low wall. Awful pain.

Pain killers and rum seem to be the way to go.

Ouchie. Have you tried strapping your ribs?
have you seen someone, just in case you have cracked some ribs?

Hi emmie, hoping painkillers will do the trick.

Coughing, sneezing, blowing nose, even breathing moves the rib cage.

Might double up on rum medication.
don't drink whilst taking meds, seek help SK from a doctor.......

Bit easier today emmie. Pain easing off. I have sold the ladders, lol.
Not much you do for sore ribs except take pain killers. After I had CPR I was given a few doses of oral morphine then a couple of weeks on max strength co-codamol.
silly boy, take advice, see if sqad makes an appearance.

Appreciate your concern emmie. I am sure it is just slight bruising.
It is not as bad as it first was.
I agree with all the management strategies of Sparkly.

Strapping of ribs is definitely not advised.

No big deal....it will settle.

Thanks Mr sqad. Will just have to wait a while. The gutters will keep.
Whoa that is bad. Next time get someone to hold ladder. Hope you heal up soon.
If you remember, a few years ago, Baldric fell off his ladder adjusting spotlights high up and was very lucky indeed - yes he was hurt but came through.......
^ But try and miss the person holding the ladder next time you fall;-)
As sqad says, do not strap your chest. Do deep breathing exercises for five minutes each hour. . ( obviously not at night ) .
