Illogical?

just been to my Tesco's and called on way out for the car jet wash prefer it to the auto one.it was barred off, when i went to ask why its closed as it not iced up, the lady said because of covid people touching the wash handles we've had a message down from the office to close it. oh right i said and what about all the hundreds a day of people using the fuel pump handles of course a blank stare was the reply i might add this wash has only been shut once and that was last and early this week in all the time we've had covid

It does seem illogical but I guess they try to separate essential
from non-essential to keep people as safe as possible. They’re losing money by shutting it so I can’t think of another reason. They can only do their best.

Surely you wear disposable gloves when handling a fuel pump handle Derek. If not you are asking for trouble.

Gulliver I wasn't buying fuel and never seen anyone wearing gloves when buying fuel
Btw I have a bottle of sanitizer gel in the car which I always use when getting I do know about it

even before covid they had gloves by the pumps so you dont get fuel on your hands
