I have Radio 2 on all day - bar the two hours between 12 and 2. Then i switch over to local radio. Wasn't always thus; i used to quite enjoy Vine's programme but ever since he appeared on Strictly, he appears so much more 'up' himself.

He's a bit twee but bearable for the first half hour after the Feltz woman has done a stint at the microphone .

The problem with the JV programme is the same as the Steve Wright programme. People realised they have a better chance of being on or have their request played if they say" I love your programme". The presenters then start believing this and think they are popular. Jeremy Vine has become totally obnoxious, he constantly interrupts the people who phone in, irrespective of who they are. Also, both these presenters love the sound of their own voices, never using one word when twenty can be said.
