They are upset about not meeting family at Christmas but there is never a hint of dissent, they always say they agree with it all and they will obey the rules to the letter no matter what. Its not what I hear from people out in the real world.

How can there be a shortage of cauliflower and broccoli when so much is grown in Lincolnshire and other areas of the UK? Time our supermarkets supported home grown produce and stopped worrying about supplying 'our friends' overseas. I saw an article on the news the other day about two lots of flower/bulb producers - one was importing and one was exporting - what's that all about? Why don't the importers by from the exporters in this country? But who needs flowers anyway, they are hardly a part of our staple diet.
wrong thread lankeela- did you want the panic what panic one??

Probably because, since Brexit, all the Eastern Europeans who, it seems, are the only people with the skills needed to pick veg, have, so we are told, gone home. Highly skilled occupation, picking cauliflowers, don'tcha know. The strange thing is, on many days I hear more Polish and Lithuanian spoken in my local High Street than I do English.
If it’s the same woman I saw on the TV who is terminal and it’s likely to be her last Xmas and on her own, if I had a loved relative in that position there’s not a law in the land that would stop me seeing her.
