The three principle signatories are from Harvard, Stanford and Oxford Universities. Of the other 35 listed on the declaration just two are from New Zealand, the rest from nowhere in the Antipodes.

My uncle turned 70 during his Coronavirus battle. He spent 4 months and one day as an inpatient, flitting between ITU, MHDU and the stroke ward. He then went to a rehabilitation centre, then was rushed back into hospital triggering the sepsis pathway and now he is back in rehab. The therapists reckon he should be home by Christmas. That will be an 8-month recovery / rehabilitation period, all in all.
It is a horrible disease and he is incredibly lucky he pulled through.
