If no-deal is so ideal, why have we wasted years and years of expensive negotiating.

Would like to see evidence of no-deal terror in the UK though.
"why have we wasted years and years of expensive negotiating."

Money would be have to set aside for a no deal Brexit anyway - at least a few £bn to accommodate for shortages and rising costs (food, fuel, medicine etc) this has been acknowledged a likely outcome for years by the Cons - TM said £4bn, BJ said £2bn.

The GB pound will drop like a pair of cheap knickers - hence why businesses and government MPs are shifting their money out. Your pensions will be worthless once the institutions trade back currencies.

The UK will go into recession with more job losses on top of the Covid job losses already.

But its ok, we have the reliable and competent Boris Johnson et al to steer us through any problems. He of course has form for leadership and decisive action.....

Still, it'll all be fine won't it.
A No Deal Brexit would be a huge act of self harm by the UK.
Any argument that could be made for it last year has been destroyed by Covid.
To those who go and on about the UK being free to make its own laws, consider this. It is not EU laws that make you wear a face covering on public transport and shops, and its not EU laws that order pubs to close at 10pm
remainers run out of there medication, we owe nothing to the eu
they have fleeced our fishing, imposed illogical laws, and basically germany runs the whole show, with a few puppets to divert attention.

Danny, read Trevors post at 15.23, read it slowly and carefully .
I don't know anyone who is terrified of a no- deal. I would be more terrified of a deal in case it turns out to be a bad one.
Having existing issues with totalitarian PMs and their cabinet is not an excuse to pass power even further away, outside of our nation.

Really? You seriously think that way? Holy crap.
Unsurprisingly, Zacs, I'm with JD. A "deal" of any sort with the EU will almost certainly be on their terms. And their terms have caused enough problems for the UK over the last 40 years. And I still can't get proper light bulbs! :-)
