2 rules - absolutely no pets and not a sight nor sound of a mobile phone anywhere near the dining table.
This is my dog's home, if you don't like dogs, don't come! Same as some others.

Get your own breakfast and clear away afterwards. I am quite willing to cook the evening meal but am not good first thing in the morning.
No smoking allowed in our house and also we have never let any of our children swear in the house. We know they do outside but there is no need for bad language at home. I know that's 2 but couldn't have the 1 without the other.

I heard this from a dear old lady when I was in Menorca many years ago, she was from Lockerbie, her house was saved on that fateful day in December '88, she would say this to the ghouls who would come to Lockerbie to see the huge hole the plane had made , this was about 30 years ago so no doubt she'll not be there anymore

No smoking in the house I have hereditary lung disease and have been told to keep away from any smoke, bonfires or strong chemicals, etc
Apart from no smoking, no religious or political talk.
