Turned on this morning and it didn't start washing. I client open the door it was stuck on pause. I turned off at the mains . After the 2 nd try it fired up but now it's saying check water no supply. There is water in taps. It's awkward to get to the pipes ???
If you type the make and model into google along with instruction manual, it should come up. In the manual you normally find a troubleshooting section. There's usually a manual door opener on a machine, mines in the flap where the filter is.
If you struggle with googling, let us know the make and model.
My first response to all washing machine problems is "Check the filters". It's a simple thing to do and it's amazing what problems are overcome by making sure they're clear. I've never owned a washer-dryer, so I don't know how many filters they've got ie, there may be one for the washing bit and a fluff-collecter for the drying bit. Check your manual.
It may be worth checking the cold water inlet valve (usually on the back) for limescale or other blockage. A blocked filter in this valve can result in the machine not functioning.
