Not A Bad Day So Far

We have sunshine, it's a bit breezy and there is some cloud cover, but overall not too bad. A good night was had by all. It's good being in the downstairs guest room at the moment, when I fancied a drink about 0330 just nipped across the hall to the kitchen and sorted one, for 'nipped' read limped, still sore :o(

Watching the Burnley v Sheff Utd match earlier and the commentator was doing the usual 'grim up north' spiel and, with about 10 mins to go he said, "...and to make matters worse, it's absolutely pouring down." So I shouted to my dog, Milo, who was sunning himself in the back yard, "Did you hear that lad? Pouring it down out there." He lifted his head, looked at me as if I had lost me marbles, then went back to dozing in the sun. I live about a mile and a half away from Turf Moor, yet it took almost 2 hours before I saw any rain.

You know where I am Ken and it's been manky all day, only once did the very strong wind threaten to blow the dark clouds away, they turned right round and blew back in.

It's sunny here but windy. A bit scared to put the recycling out in case it ends up down the street.

Its been that windy here two plants were blown out of the garden by their roots. Now its slashing it down :-(

To those who are interested and I know there was at least one expressing interest, Dave and Kate got home 2300ish so twice the normal journey time. Just Kate and myself at home, Dave out with dogs and girls at work.
