You said that I was "motivated by [my] political allegiances" in reply to a post of Naomi's where she was "not sure why Jim thinks an alternative Prime Minister would have done better", when my particular suggestion was Margaret Thatcher because she was a scientist -- which I had made abundantly clear.

The context makes a clear difference. It's not the only example of demonstrable misreading, or perhaps I should say a knee-jerk reaction, either. What I'm saying, really, is this: your reading of my posts is far from impartial. When someone utterly impartial agrees with you about the "impression that emanates from my posts" I'll pay attention. Until then, think about your own biases before you comment on my own.

Got to agree our politics are diametrically opposed.
Yes, although I think we do end up agreeing on occasion (if only by accident).

What I hope is that we can move on to discussing what we are saying, rather than *why* we are saying it, if that makes sense.

It's spotted immediately only by those determined to look for it. You're bound to find spin if that's what you're hunting for. I know what my intentions are, and, what is more, you do not.

So, as I said earlier, why not stick to what I say, rather than why I say it? Or why you think I say it, which is not the same thing.

This is the capitalism for which, according to Naomi, we should all be eternally grateful, tugging our forelocks when leaving the room.

I'd be obliged if you'd refrain from telling lies about me. I've said nothing of the sort - ever.
Shock/horror – our politicians are corrupt.
Other news; bears defecate in the woods - oh, and the Pope is Catholic.
Tugging forelocks?
No, you have never said that.
A bit of a satirical comment from me, to illustrate our class ridden society.
Theland, I've never said any of it. Keep me out of your 'satirical comedy'.
