tomorrow, for a 70th birthday celebration,
They’re having four people at a time, in shifts, visiting in the garden over the course of the afternoon. Our allotted time is 4pm to 4.45pm.
We’re in the last four, and whilst in some ways I’m looking forward to it, in other ways I’m not.
We won’t be accepting a drink, if offered, and will still socially distance.
I’m not sure if it’s worth it :/

Thank you for all your thoughts.
Yes we have accepted and will be going.
The neighbours are trying to do the right thing in terms of keeping everyone safe, social distancing, etc., as are we, given that all the guests will be in the same 70ish age group, some of whom have associated age related and other health problems, me being one of them.
Interesting to read others thoughts on the matter.
Vagus I hope you have a most enjoyable time and remember, 70 is the new 50 :0)

Ha ha.
I hated turning 50. 60 didn’t bother me at all. I can feel 70 looming even though it’s a few years away...
I’m nearly half way through ( 74in November) still feel I’m in my 50s :0)
