Looking for a cheap car, not looking for new. What would you recommend? Just looking for something to get me from A to B. Have 2,000 to spend.

A Toyota Yaris imo.
A V.W Lupo or Skoda Octavia.
We have a Toyota IQ .. our first petrol car in many years .. can't fault it.
The Peugeot 107 has attracted many positive reviews over the years, so it could be worth considering.

Had a Yaras 03. Got sidewiped by an ah, car was written off, still dealing with the insurance company. The Toyota IQ looks good but I see they've stopped producing them. The Scoda octave also looks good. Is there any timing belt issues with these cars? I don't want to spend 2 grand and then spend another 1000 to have to fix a timing belt after a couple of weeks.

Like the Peugeots also.
Peugeot 107. £20 road tax, economical on petrol and nippy. What's not to love. I and my two daughter's all have one!
I have a Kia Picanto, lovely little car, comfortable, good on fuel, can't beat it in my eyes
