Whilst the report does examine Deprivation, the words "vile Tory", "Racist" and "Austerity" don't appear anywhere in it.

What's the chances of this document being universally accepted?

Woof, we already know that a high-ish proportion of bame are key workers. But the highest proportion are women, who are catching it less... and dying far less. I don't think it is as simple as where you work.
I think you are right Pixie, this is going to take some unpicking. I think the report is out and being presented as a clear statement that this is not the USA and that black lives...BAME lives matter.
I am afraid I flagged at page 40
it is pretty heavy reading

This made me laugh more than it really should have. Cheers Douglas.
It's not as simple as the proportion of workers etc., apparently it's a genetic thing, in the same way that sickle cell anaemia is more common in those of West Indian origin.
zebo have you got any evidence for that? I think its one of the possibilities but no proof yet.
We relly shouldnt be taking these figures at face value. Much more analysis needs to be done before any conclusion can be come to.

I suspect it will be a couple of years before all the investigations are complete, but it must be done. It's not only BAME anyway, men are more likley and as you get older the risk rockets.

So I would like to see an international investigation into this without prejudice or any agenda so we can understand why. I think it would be an important study not only to understand Covid but also to understand how differing DNA, social, financial and general demogrphic can have an effect on people and their survival rate. Plus many other factors of course.
When they heard the disease had victims they raced to the front of the queue.
Dont mention herd!
