Some smoke alarms have flashing LED strobe lights inside them, to provide a warning to hearing impaired people.

Surface Mount PIR Ceiling switch .. it turns the lights on when someone walks through the door.

We have them in every container at work .. it saves looking for switches in the dark and saves on energy as the lights only operate when it detects movement.
