We were told that support from MS for W7 would cease on 14/1/20. Since then, I have received approx 150 updates, the latest being yesterday, 18th. They all have the same number; KB2310138, but with different versions. Have MS stopped supporting W7 or haven't they? Do any of you clever techy types have any idea? Thanks.

I am wondering this too.I have had 2 so far and dont understand it either. My sons very techy so hes going to look at it on sunday when he comes down.
I don't think a day's gone by when I haven't had updates on my W7 computers. I seem to get more now than before they stopped issuing them.

I think it is a signature update for Microsoft Essentials, their antivirus product.
That makes sense, drm. The virus software will be completely separate from the operating system software.
As they all have the same number I`m inclined to think the installation is failing and it tries again.

Sorry for the late reply on this folks, but the installations haven't failed. Although they all have the same number, they all have different version numbers. When checking the list, they all say successfully installed.
Yes, drmorgans is right - they are MSE (Microsoft Security Essentials) updates.

Main KB umber stays the same, the rest change each time.
