I had a terrible night last night and woke up this morning with a stonking headache, felt like I'd been run over by a bus. I took my temperature it was 38.3C. I took 2 paracetamols and within an hour my temperature was down to 36.7C but the headache remains. I have a slight dry cough but that could be the start of Hayfever and its not stopping me breathing. I know some people on here have had close relatives who have suffered with Covid-19 and wondered if these symptoms sound familiar. I am not ringing 111 as I know they will make me go to hospital and I probably will not survive.

I've rung the doctor and she suggests plenty of fluids and rest, controlling the temperature with paracetamol and only ring 111 if the symptoms persist after 7 days or I get difficulty in breathing.

Thank you for the input and good wishes

Barsel Thank you. I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and always feel yukky for a couple of hours in the morning, it was the high temperature that worried me as normally I have quite a low temperature. It does make you panic though a bit.
I have similar symptoms but started coughing today so self isolating with few and biscuits as per instructions. I have to be a bit careful as I am asthmatic but I feel ok ish right now
Few!! Tea

I've just found this useful directive from the NHS advising what to do, just in case anyone else is worried.

APG, I've woken up a few times feeling warm lately because the weather's got warmer so I end up with too many blankets. Evenings still chilly but mornings warmer than they have been.
