My Halifax credit card is down to £190.00 owing. I have a DD of £50/month to take care of my payment when it’s due.

My statement says my payment this month should be £5.30. I intend to reduce the amount I owe more this month.

If I paid off the £190.00 before the DD was taken, what would happen next?

Thank you to everyone. I’ve just paid Halifax £140.07 leaving exactly £50.00 in the balance. Cheers.
As others have said, you will probably have a small amount of interest to pay as well.
