has closed a very large "carr" near me because they shut the ticket office down.. well ok why not let people walk round it anyway free now there are few places to go,its all car /bike access anyway to get to this place but no the gates are locked !! its madden me

They did make all their places free, but too many people came and separation became an issue, so they closed.

massive amounts of space people dont have to come anyway near contact with others, i think nat trust should not close these en masse
It's probably a case of liability. If it were to be proved (unlikely, I know) that so one contracted the virus on NT land, they could face hefty fines etc.

they have to be near each other in the carpark and people have demonstrated that they don't have any sense about social distancing even in big spaces.

Its a shame it was ever restricted access in the begining, but I suppose its now a protected area, and with everyone off work and school, it could get out if control.
