I've just had a chq from the tax man for £499, totally unexpected as I'm PAYE, though I have suspected that I've overpaid but didn't have the energy to try to speak to them.

Methinks it'll be going straight in the savings account. Though, I wasn't expecting it, so might spend it in local restaurants and shops when this mare is over as they're struggling badly.
