and go to a tatoo artist, if they offer to do the job and do not ask for ID walk away.

Yes it is 18 - mainly due to the fact that your body has stopped (more or less) growing as an adult, or INTO an adult, so the tattoo wont move as you get older - similar to birth marks i guess, as they can move as your body grows......

18 is the legal age,but last year when we were away my daughter got one done and she was only 16
