It varies depending on what Type of Pill you are Prescribed. I'd pop to your Local GP or Family Planning Clinic and have a Talk with them about your Options, they'll be able to tell you more and also give you your Prescription which will be Free. So it then won't matter when you Start the Pill as you'll have it all ready to go when you need.

why not just get it now, as then you will have it ready. usually its on the first day of your period to give you immediat protection, if you take it any other time you have to wait/take other precautions for 7 days ... but your doctor will explain this.
The morning after pill can be got from boots, or any chemist, but you have to pay 20 quid for it, but if you get it from the gp it's free
Hi Hayley

You can get the Morning After pill from the chemist I think it is about 20!

With my pill anyway, you start on the first day of your period.

Hope that helps. x
