Ok Melv, I just googled is quinoa a carb and it comes up with the fact it’s a high carb food but high in protein too.

I've googled galettes and I'll try and grow them on allotment next year. At least the plot will be middle class:-)
Ha ha, I’d love a few home grown galettes, nice and chewy..and nothing wrong with being middle class, don’t ya know ;)
It depends on whether you ask for keenwa or kwinoah, melv. :-)
Where you live determines whether you're allowed to eat quinoa or not, Melv. It's fine if you live in Dore or Ranmoor but expect to be ridiculed if you live in Attercliffe or Fir Vale :)

It's also the main ingredient if you live at Hunters Bar, Chris. I'm a bit of an inbetweener, living at Norton Lee's.
I've never thought of Hunters Bar as being particularly upmarket (and, having spent four years at Sheffield City College of Education, a few minutes walk away, I ought to know). However it does seem to have plenty of smart bars and bistros these days, so perhaps things have changed a bit since my days in Sheffield.

Norton Lees? That brings back memories of refereeing Sunday morning football matches on Graves Park!
Quinoa has no specific taste and the texture of frog's spawn (not that I've tasted the latter!) - waste of time. Just eat rice, spuds or pasta for your carbs.
Melv is cutting down on carbs.
Morrisons sell it so definitly won't make you middle class! I even saw it in Aldi, quelle horreur.

No. But knowing how "they" pretend a word spelt "quinoa" should be pronounced, might do.
Try increasing your protein that will fill you up, also try sweet potato

Tried it over the weekend. It had the consistency and taste of boiled sawdust. Luckily, I smothered it in a tomato, paprika and chilli sauce to make it more palatable.
