Ok, this will probably be contentious, but what's the most overrated tv show ever? My vote is Seinfeld - it's just not funny. (BTW - please don't 50 of you rush to its defence, I know I'm in the minority...)

Seinfeld: Smug yuppie cobblers starring a man with pressed jeans and a blow-dried mullet.Very popular in America, like handguns and George Bush.

Nearly as over-rated as Fawlty Towers: sub-Ray ****** tosh with racist overtones liked by people who find The Good Life too "edgy". it's twaddle, admit it.

Steve Coogan? two words: Tony Ferino.

The censored bit in my last post is the surname of Ray, the well-known West End farceur.

Buffey the vampire slayer......I like most horrer or sci-fi,,but Buffey,,bad idea ,,Overrated!!

And Only Fools and Horses. Thanks Xollob.

Not sure I get Futurama either.

Didn't get Little Britain, but do now.

Find League of Gentlemen strangely creepy.

Most overrated show has got to be Coronation St, East Enders, Big Brother,Little Britain. Its like sat watching paint dry when the weathers cold and damp

There isn't a single programme. 99% are dross.

In essence just about anything that my darling daughters sit glued to in my opinion is not worth watching.

I'm a Z-list celebrity in the jungle fat ******* on ice has to be pretty high up the list. I watched The Office once, and found Ricky Gervais to be not funny at all. Little Britain is overhyped, not funny. Strangely though I do find Catherine Tate to be amusing, as an accurate representation of 'modern yoof'. My good lady seems to like watching overlarge women, particularly American, having lard removed from their buttocks, and installed in their lips. I have yet to work out what the attraction is in this program.

As far as I am concerned, the only program worth watching (sorry to turn thread round) is the local news at 6pm

Regards

Andy Boz if there was a programme on for guys where they could recycle waste products from their bodies to make certain other parts fuller and plumper, would you not be glued to your set??!

Revolver.

Just because it featured older (and should have known better) stars of yesteryear doesn't make an unfunny joke funny.

Oh, and The Simpsons. They were funny about 5 years ago. Let it go, Mr Groening.

Agree 100% re Little Britain and The Office.
well paddy 36 if you like little britain (the most retarded show known to man) then you probably wouldnt like the comedy masterclass that is alan partridge.
I think a lot of the posts here are listing programmes that might get high ratings but can't strictly be classified as "overrated". Things like I'm A Celeb, Strictly Come Dancing etc etc are generally accepted as being crappy but they're the kinds of things people watch in droves even though they know it's of little substance.

Genuinely overrated ones for me are Little Britain, Lost, the various CSI series, Scrubs, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, Coronation St, Nighty Night (people who say "It's great, it's so DARK" should be poked in the eye without recourse to prosecution), Black Books, Ally McBeal. And others I can't think of. I don't think I could single one out for the top spot though.
