I think Licoln's a good rather than great film and a lot of people will find it slow and dull but yes DDL is superb.

Oh Starship Troopers - buch of friends forced that on me once - 5 hours (seemed like it) I'll never get back!

I think of you take Starship Troopers as it was intended - a sharp satire on the gung-ho US military and that organisation's rampant xenophobia - then it works very well.
