with 50% of the national deficit attributable Scotland, the Barnett formula, free everything and everyone will be better of under alternative dependence? Right oh! That's without all the new infrastructure they'll need and, if they get in, EUSSR subs! Talk about deluded.

It's really difficult to see where he is coming from on this.

Creative accounting or Abbotmatics I suspect.
Mr Mackay would seem to have read Accountancy for Dummies. The Diane Abbot version.

perhaps he's using Abbotithmetic, a branch of Abbotematics!
Delboy MacKay is a plum of the first order.

Luckily for Scotland their support like their egos is grossly inflated.
Where do you get your figures from??
as Doug says..SNP is actually struggling for support in Scotland ..don't believe their media hype... Nichola is hanging on by the skin of her teeth...should not be long 'till she finds a few knives in her back ! a la Salmond !
Nichola. The Scottish poisoned dwarf.
So Scotland ‘leaves’ the UK and becomes independent. OK so now they have to generate enough income to pay their bills.

Can they do that without being propped up by the Westminster they so despise?

Then of course if they joined the EU as an independent country they would have to come up with a solution to the border issue and the Euro isn’t currently legal tender in the UK so they would have to buy Stirling as well.

I don’t claim to be an expert on this but it does seem a bit like a daft idea.
