It claims your DD was refused and you need to re establish, the link takes you to what looks right but it's phishing for bank details.

I've had four in the past month and I paid my licence in full - chancers aren't they?
I'd close it.
Trace them, and lock em up.
Easy solution. Don't be so trusting as to have DD, thus offering others free access to your worldly wealth.
DDs are really useful, OG- especially for thing like TV licence and Car Tax where there is no need to shop around annually and you don't want to forget to renew. It's not the DD that's the issue here- it's spotting the fraudsters
They send reminders. And you can always set an alarm on your mobile. Not worth having open house for
Never had a problem so I think you are worrying about nothing but if you prefer to do things the long way round that's fine- I know you have a bee in your bonnet about DDs from somewhere. I'll continue to use them for the convenience- and get cash back from my bank as a reward
Hope this link works TTT.

Well two of our ABers know the law back to front and reckon those who pay their TV licence fees are mugs.Mind you both have them have done Gaol time for one fing or anuvver. :-)

what is the link barsel, I have not clicked it. I am just informing others of a scam I'm not asking for help. OG - you on the electric yet?
I've had a couple of those the last few weeks, defo spam they don't even refer to me by name. Had one about three weeks ago saying there was a payment problem with my car tax ( about a week after I taxed my car for a year online ), that didn't refer to me by mane either or give my registration number !
mane!
Name.
Sorry TTT I should have explained what the link was.
I joined neighbourhood alert some years ago and they email me about any new scams. The link that I sent to you would have taken you to the email they sent to me about TV licensing phishing scams, and to tell you that since April 2018, Action Fraud have received over 900 crime reports for this. It then goes on to explain how to protect yourself and what to do if you have fallen victim. You were informing others, and the link just contained a bit more info about it.
