I don't know about the song but I wasn't expecting that ending.
Bex has struggled for a long time. Friend dying, getting addicted to the pills and then her exam results. I don't think they were as good as everyone assumed but because she was congratulated and made to feel special she went along with it. She didn't want to let Sonia down.
I'm surprised that no-one ,only Lisa, missed Bex last night . I thought that Sonia would have looked in on her before going to bed.
Mad World by Gary Jules (original by Tears for Fears).

It was so sad. Just goes to show that behind a smile and laughter there may be a lot of sadness going on in someones life. Its good that they're highlighting Mental Health awareness and that some signs can be recognised.
Sonia never really listened all she wanted was the kudos of her daughter going to Oxford
Lily Allen - Mad World

Watched Eastenders Monday episode on catch up today and was astonished to see Bex alive and well! I thought she was dead when Sonia found her - and was surprised that being a nurse she did nothing to try to revive her when she found her - and all she said to the emergency services was 'I've put her in the recovery position'.
I suppose you don't know how you'll react if it's your own child.
My thoughts too lankeela.
