Any way I can improve my cardiovascular health so I don't experience odd palpitations now and again? Or is it completely fine for this to happen and perfectly normal

Heart palpitations are rather normal especially after strenuous exercise and are not always a sign of a problem. I'm not overly concerned. I was just curious if there was anything I could do to make these occur less, such as potential better cardiovascular health.

Wow. Something happened there !

Anyway, not such a bad idea to get the GP to give the all clear. Although I tend to ignore palpitations, only went to get checked when my heart started missing a beat.

My resting heart rate is perfectly normal. It would require me to do a fair few hours of straight exercise to experience the palpitation i'm referring to. I'm unsure how I could replicate the situation at the GP.
A few hours of straight exercise? Perhaps you are overdoing it.
My late husband had extrasystole all his life. He was a squash player and a biker, really fit, passed all his employment medicals.

" Perhaps you are overdoing it."

Yes perhaps, to be fair...

I do take short breaks in between but I am pretty consistently exercising every evening. I also usually forget my water bottle but I doubt that has anything to do with it.
the GP would refer you to a cardiac service if he thought it was necessary. They would do stress tests and heart imaging if its needed.
I would agree if anything is worrying you, you should just get it checked. Feeling your heart pumping after hours of strenuous exercise would not be surprising... caffeine is particularly likely to cause them, and often more so as you get older.
Do ya drink a load of Red Bull or other energy drinks?

No
Maybe people on here know you well but my first question (and probably a medics) would be - How old are you?
Palpitations aren't good surely spath - a visit to the doc's is in order methinks ..
They can be normal hia... after exercise, stimulants, nervousness... not necessarily a problem, but worth checking if you are not sure.
