We have several feeders with varying food and I’ve never seen so many bluetits and coaltis in my life but they eat all day, is this normal? We still get other birds at certain times of the day especially earlier and later in the day, but only when the tits have gone is this why? I enjoy watching them but are they discouraging others ?

I just love this web site! :o) Because at times, some people really do lose touch with reality.
Who has lost touch with reality cc?
Everyone has their own reality. How can you lose touch with what you perceive as true?
You're lucky! Every time I fill the feeders the dreaded "nun's chorus" of jackdaws descends, chasing away all the smaller birds and swinging the feeders all over the place trying to get at the food (which is in squirrel-proof feeders)
My 'garden' is actually a wild area and as such, there is an abundance of food for the birds most of the year. I don't need to put feeders out and only add something in really bad winters.

There's much squabbling between all the wildlife both large and small , feathered and four footed - fun to watch.

I love to see a row of bluetits pecking in a row round my window frames, they look so comical.
Who has lost touch with reality? Maybe someone who would have a picture of a dog above their name, as an avatar perhaps? Is it a likeness?
Probably as much of a likeness as your avatar 10c.

Sheann these coal tits and blue tits have claimed the fat balls as their own, it’s constant, they fly off momentarily when some deluded magpie tries to get a look in but they’re soon back again
I don't see the need for an avatar. This web site put that one next to my name. I didn't choose it.
As a slight aside, my friend's cat Spike crossed the rainbow bridge last week aged 19. Gone to join his friend Bonnie who crossed a couple of years ago. Spike in his day caught a few bluetits, sparrows etc. but we forgave him. Lots of bluetits and coaltits in my garden this year.
Don't see what my avatar has to do with anything cc. I feel sad enough as it is without you being rude and unkind so best I say no more.
