"Where will this all end?"

Probably hong kong.

It will end with brutal violence and injustice.

Anyone that can leave should do so, and everyone else should avoid going there if at all possible.
I see that this thread has the on-going issue with the counter being wrong.
I think we know where this will end - and it wont be pleasant.
I suspect it will end with Marshall law in HK.
Martial, even.
China will give us back HK - I wish ;)
As a British government worker presumably the government is making considerable efforts to get him back safe. One could hardly claim that, that's not a UK matter.
I haven't Googled but I suppose that this might not necessarily be anything to do with what's going on in HK at the moment.
"Anyone that can leave should do so and everyone else should avoid going there if at all possible" Life goes on there, most of the time

At the moment ....
Well yes but despite the riots, most of the city is still functioning
I will be arriving in HK on Friday. I will be going to my favourite Thai restaurant on Hennessey Rd, along with my foot reflexology place and the load of tat that I buy at Mong Kok. I really don't anticipate problems getting to where I want to go. The riots are quite localized
Localised - Jesus!

237SJ, this is not about 'now'.
Doesn't China has control over HK ?

So , if the Chinese government needed to ' question ' him , why wouldn't they just have picked before ,in HK ?
"It's not about now" Yes I know that but nobody knows how it will end.
