Today there is yet another barrage about the royal couple taking a private jet on holiday.

I appreciate that, on the face of it, they appear to be flying (!) in the face of their much-advertised environmental concerns, but what would the alternative be? They can't fly commercially, so a private jet does seem to be the only answer if they wish to travel.

I have no problem with anyone holding a view and expressing it, even if they are not always in a position to live by the precepts they would wish to, because of simple practicalities.
