Doubt it, at the moment they are 25/6
Ireland 38 all out.
Better at Bowling than batting then!
It would appear so.
men against boys in the end.
Hardly a very good "preparation" for England for the Ashes then.
erm....I would have thought a world cup win followed by bowling out a team for 38 is, in fact, a very good way to prepare.
Good prep as far as the bowling was concerned, but don't let that stop you knocking anything English.
Nice too see the usual suspects (deliberately) misrepresenting my remarks to mount a personal attack. Nothing changes.
So, what did you mean then?
not like canary to be knocking the Brits!
Wow, I went out for a couple hours, came back and looked at the score. What a shock. What happened to Ireland?
Woakes and Broad...blew the Irish away.^^^^
I think they call it a batting collapse, Jo.
I saw news of this match in a newspaper when I was away last week. I thought it was a misprint. Not only will Ireland go in the record books for their record low score but the entire match should also be recorded as one played in contravention of clause 13.6 of the the ICC's playing handbook covering Test Matches:

13.6 Duration of Match

Matches shall be of five days scheduled duration. The Home Board and the Visiting Board may agree to:

13.6.1 Provide for a rest day during the match, and/or a reserve day
after the scheduled days of play.

13.6.2 Play on any scheduled rest day, conditions and circumstances
permitting, should a full day’s play be lost on any day prior to
the rest day.

13.6.3 Play on any scheduled reserve day, conditions and
circumstances permitting, should a full day’s play be lost on any
day. Play shall not take place on more than 5 days.

13.6.4 Make up time lost in excess of five minutes in each day’s play
due to circumstances outside the game.

So, nothing about a Test match being played over fewer than five days duration. I know Ireland only gained Test status last year, but surely they are not being eased in gradually.

I notice the "Test" was sponsored by Specsavers. Perhaps that explains it.
