How awful, poor little chap. What are his chances I wonder? The options are too horrible to contemplate. I hope you get home safely Gizmo.

Online trolls are obviously deluded to the strength, size and bravery of a seagull.

Unfortunately i doubt little gizmo will see his owner again.
The birds are all pretty scary at this time of year. I don't see it ending well for Gizmo.
My money's on it not happening at all and the fragrant Bex having anger and control issues..
I certainly hope that it's not true. I find it hard to believe that a gull could lift a 4.4lb dog with its beak.
I can well believe that a fully grown seagull would protect it's young by swooping down and attacking the dog but carrying it away? Also, surely had this happened, someone in the vicinity would have noticed a gull flying about with something larger than a stolen ice cream in it's mouth.
Douglas; how do you know Bex is fragrant. She might well smell of BS.
Sanmac; it may have been working out at the local gym.
I have a nose for these things Ken, ken?
douglas - you ken Ken?

I was bad, my first reaction on hearing this story was to laugh.

I believe a gull could carry the dog but surely not for long and not very far. Doesn't look good for Gizmo
Sadly, I doubt little Gizmo will be found safely. Poor little chap.
I was watching a gull in the harbour in Devon the other day and it was trying to drag half a large fish onto the shore so that it could eat it. It was really struggling and wasn`t sure whether to try to fly with it or drag it through the water. When it tried to fly with it, it couldn`t get airborne so I was surprised to read that one flew off with a chihuahua. I guess it must be true though as the owner posted about it on Facebook. The gulls are really protective at the moment. Doesn`t bode well for the dog. I just hope it isn`t lying injured somewhere.

237 if it is lying somewhere injured I hope he is found before tomorrow as it's going to be a scorcher.
Her partner must feel worse as he nearly managed to grab the gull's legs as it snatched Gizmo from the garden.
If a bird stole my dog i would be jumping over fences and following that bird wherever it went.
Even for a chihuahua?
Just give her a call, spath.
LOL, OG.

I can't find any more news of poor Gizmo. Read somewhere a vet said the "right" gull could have swallowed him whole!!!
Has anyone else seen anything.
I just read on a rescue site on Facebook that it never happened the dogs was actually disposed of by the boyfriend.
Not sure what to believe
I read that on FB, LB, and that there was a 1k reward.
