3 of us club to together and buy biscuits, coffee and stuff for our own use in the office but some greedy pig keeps eating ALL of them - and i mean polishing them off as soon as they're left in the cupboard. How can we get back at them?

carefully take out all but one of the biscuits and put a note in there saying, '' Just to let you know, I spat on evey one of the biscuits you just stole'', then carefully replace the biscuits on the top...
dont buy any, thus cutting off their supply
or get some bourbon type biscuits and fill 'em with laxatives

Why should we stop buying biscuits???
take a packet of biccies. wipe evey one on any remotely sweaty bits you have ie armpits. replace in packet and sit back and enjoy.
Well I have laughed at these responses!

We had this problem in the office where I used to work. In the end I got so fed up with it I just put a big sign up on the staff room wall:

'Will the greedy cow who has been eating all the bourbons please stop~ we will be monitoring weight gain in order to expose the purpetrator'

We soon went back to having some biscuits left :o)
Nick, a snag there, like the bloke in the pub who went to the loo leaving a note on his pint "I've spat in this", returning to find several more "So have I"

I'm loving these responses lol!!!
If any fail to work polly maybe the 3 of you could club together and buy a big tub that has a combination lock on it that only the 3 of you know. I'd be tempted to put a sign on it too! Some people have the cheek of the devil!

:o)
Crumbs, what a dilemma....
whiffet ...I've heard that one before ... my idea would work because they'd have eaten all the biccies 'before' they found the note
do what we do when filming in a shop on set - inject or coat all the food with tcp - so none of the crew help themselves.

its safe but put them off. after a while theres no need as the crew don't even try it.

that will let them know that you are onto them, as you will smell it on them

great responses, creative and very amusing!

My vote is for the laxatives... just once, hopefully that will "doo" it!
Sounds like an answerblog Q so am just posting to see if it turns up on the blog site.
Why not take a more reasonable course of action? Hide in a nearby cupboard and when the culprit is in the act, leap out and hack them to death with an axe. As a deterrent to future offenders, you could collect the giblets and have them set in clear resin.

Thank you everyone for your excellent deterrant ideas. I'll try the axe idea first and if they keep doing it i suppose the laxatives might do the 'job', ahem.

seriously, first off you should just stick a note on them saying these don't belong to you and you haven't contributed towards paying for them, so do not touch. if this doesn't work then go for the laxies...
i've loved reading these - has cheered me up no end!

For a simple suggestion, have you considered buying 3 small tupperware boxes, then you can split the biscuits up amongst the 3 of you and keep them in your own desk drawers?
