that Pete's father has got in touch after 10 years absence now that Pete's 'famous' what was wrong with him getting in touch before now? Call me cynical but it seems that lots of 'estranged' relatives get in touch with BB housemates when they're seen on TV!

Hope Pete doesn't get let down!

You're right Kate - his dad presumably knew where he was for all these years - why get back in touch now - perhaps he might think he'll get a 'free lunch' out of all of this - must be nice to dine out on being Pete's dad.
I do agree but on the other hand we shouldn't assume. Maybe he didn't know where he was all these years.
you mean hugnie that IF he had wanted to there were NO means of finding out? No relatives or nowhere to start looking? ie last known address etc, sorry no I do not believe he could not find him if he had wanted to, especially how the internet has grown in the last 10 years.
Dollie is right it's free lunches from now on for him

Yer I couldnt believe Pete was so pleased, I'd be like get lost you didnt want me then so why would you want me now.
Yes Jan that's exactly what I mean. I know from personal experience that sometimes it is completely impossible.

As I said, I do agree that the chances are he didn't bother to try, but considering it's none of our business maybe we should give him the benefit of the doubt.

Thanks for your replies guys, I understand that maybe, sometimes it is difficult to get back in touch but it isn't totally impossible and this case just really bugs me, I can't understand how Pete is so happy about it either 4getmenot, I would be fuming if it was me!!
