why do I have a strange accent?

why do me and my father have a strange accent that we can't change? it isn't from any country,we always have lived here in South America, we speak Spanish here but not like anyone known from here or outside here.

For the same reason that Irish, Scottish, Welsh etc. people have an accent when in England. You talk how you picked it up as a toddler and rarely lose that accent.
