Two new hedgehogs tonight (both in the feeder at the same time), now up to seven different ones that we’ve actually seen - can too many hedgehogs be a problem? The grass is already ropey from them rooting around and I’m happy to buy them their food. I’m wondering how many come and visit when we’re not looking.

It sure does - it’s love to see.
Lovely
they can be very bold especially urban ones. quite a bit of a pest really.
Badgers are prolific here, sadly they have no road sense.
Prolific here too, Hedgies are their form of Mars Bars.... If they are going to cull them, then at least use them for food and badger used to be quite popular in the SW (treat like pork and casserole) including badger scratchings on bar tops in the local pubs....Clarissa Dickson-Wright used to voice off about using them.

I saw three more last night, one young one came rushing up, making a right racket and a bigger one popped out of the feeding station and then he scurried off. Nearly every time I looked out or went outside last night there was one about.

Smow, I live on the edge of an estate at the corner of an army camp which has an undisturbed wooded area but I don’t think they're coming from there.
