Why do so many people find clowns creepy? If they really are evil then why are used as symbols of fun for kids? Don't get me wrong, if 'IT' came into my house at night wielding a sharp knife I probably wouldn't find him cute or funny. But all the others are alright aren't they?

This may be slightly off topic,but when I was quite young went to see Ken Dodd in panto and when he did the singalong bit with the wordsheet he scared the hell out of me.
