Ever heard of it? (I hadn't) Reading an article about it, I find that these men put an enormous amount of time and effort in perfecting this dance for the honour of winning the competition. It seems that no one can dance for much longer than about 4 minutes as it is so demanding. I looked it up on youtubes and found this, there are others too;

It looks like a form of the dances done by gauchos.....yes it looks energetic but no more energetic than other such dances.
I've seen Corps de Ballet and prima ballerinas perform far more demanding performances than this. They should try the traditional 32 fouettes in Swan Lake for starters - performed after an already exhaustive programme of demanding dance. And all performed by the women these guys so look down on.

Perhaps the reason they ban women is because it would show them up to be the phoneys they are.
I didn't listen to the commentary but in other youtube vids, there are women doing the same dances.

Canary; If you read the book, 'A Simple Story, - Dancing for his Life', by the Argentine journalist , Leila Guerriero (Pushkin Press) you would find she wouldn't agree with you.
