I can't say I'm sorry, the Sky outfit has reduced a formerly exiting sport into a clinical (dare I say also, chemical) winning machine.

Have to say I was quite saddened by this earlier.
Yes, Team Sky(or 3 of the personnel in Wiggins, Brailsford and Freeman) crossed the ethical line with the TUE and knew damn well they were doing so but beyond that they’ve been very good for the sport IMHO.
They’ve certainly enhanced and furthered the careers of several British riders(Owain Doull, Tao Geoghan-Hart, Pete Kennaugh and Ben Swift to name but a few) as well as realising the dreams of more established stars(Froome, Thomas) and their loss of sponsorship will be felt throughout the peloton.
I just hope that someone will take over the team so that continued success for British riders can be assured.

Off the top of my head:
Junior Paris-Roubaix winner, Triple World Champion(team pursuit), Double Olympic Champion(team pursuit), Commonwealth Champion(road race, bronze in the Time Trial), E3 Harelbeke winner, Dauphiné and Tour de France Winner.
For someone who ‘hasn’t achieved very much’ that is one HELL of a palmares!!
He’s probably the best rouleur, puncheur, climber, GC contender/winner and multiple track cycling gold medallist of all time!
I’m far from an aficionado but am somewhat obsessive over G and his record and it stands up there with the best cyclists to ever grace the professional peloton and track.
This is a boy who as a 12 year old got into cycling and never looked back. He’s grafted(and suffered) for his passion so I’d say he’s had a somewhat fulfilled career.
During that time(20 years) he would have been stringently tested by WADA & the UCI with not the merest hint of a transgression or question mark over him so I’d say the boyo has done more than alright.
You’re talking about a guy who fractured his pelvis in the first week of a recent TdF.....he subsequently decided to continue and finished 3 gruelling weeks later.
He deserves some credit.

Well, I was a member of the NCU and BLRC - (British League of Racing Cyclists) and raced all over the north, - mostly north Lancashire and the Peak District in the 1950s. and never stopped cycling and following the sport since.
The CV you give is OK, but isn't really that impressive for a pro. if you remove the recent wins. and if you compare it to some of the other guys in the peloton

Take a proper look at his palmares then tell me he hasn’t had a steady ride to the top. Most in the peloton would be envious of his record on road and track. None can equal it, that’s for sure.
Off the top of my head I can’t think of another rider in the peloton who has a GT, a Monument/Classic, 2 Olympic Golds, a Commonwealth Gold and National Champ stripes.
If you can, I’m all ears....

Luckily Geraint Thomas has never suffered from it and thus has never needed/used salbutamol, triamcinolone nor needed a TUE for use.
He’s never tested positive for clenbuterol neither, or failed any doping control test for that matter.
He has though enjoyed a fantastic career thus far with no little success, but that is inexplicably escaping someone!
